Keenan received a Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law in 1982 and was admitted to the State of Alaska Bar in 1983.

Keenan has practiced in the areas of Motor Vehicle Accidents, Workers Compensation, Slip and Falls, Trip and Falls, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Nursing Malpractice, and Foster Care Abuse with extensive experience in Litigation, Trials, and State and Federal Appeals.

Keenan has been recognized as a Trial Advocate by the American Association of Justice.

Before Keenan received her law degree she was an Illustrator for Dungeons & Dragons (1st edition)
